How this calculation works
For people born in 1960 or later, full retirement age is 67. Early benefits reduce by 5/9 of 1% per month for the first 36 months, then 5/12 of 1%. Delaying adds 2/3 of 1% monthly through age 70.
Enter the age-67 benefit from your SSA statement. This tool does not calculate benefits from an earnings record or apply earnings-test withholding, COLA, spouse benefits, tax or credit-posting timing.
How do I use this calculator?
Enter your own figures in each labeled field. Review the assumptions above, then compare the result with a second set of inputs. Reset restores the illustrative example values.
Can I save and compare scenarios?
Save a named scenario below. Select up to two saved scenarios to compare with your current result. Saved inputs stay in this browser; clearing browser data removes them.
What is included in an export?
The CSV includes the input assumptions, numeric results and any detailed schedule. Print creates a browser printout. A copied input link contains your entered values, so share it only with people who should see them.
